Top QB Rankings for 2017-2018 Postseason
Here are the Fantasy Postseason staff rankings of the Top 12 QBs for the postseason:
1. Tom Brady - NE - Brady's output has slumped a bit towards the end of the season, but he leads the team with the best chance to win the Superbowl (again).
2. Ben Roethlisberger - PIT - Pittsburgh should play 2 games. The question is whether or not PIT can break the curse and beat NE in Foxborough.
3. Case Keenum - MIN - FiveThirtyEight.com gives the Vikings a 33% chance of playing at home for the Superbowl and Keenum has been efficient this season with 22 TD against 7 INTs.
4. Drew Brees - NO - Brees had a strong run game to lean upon this year and that is evidenced by his 270 YPG passing average (lowest since 2005). The Saints are a solid team, with a twin rushing attack of Kamara and Ingram, but will need to win a few games on the road to get to the Superbowl.
5. Alex Smith - KC - The Chiefs should play 2 games and Alex Smith is having a strong year. While they lost some key defensive players to injury, they did in fact beat the Pats earlier in the year on the road.
6. Nick Foles - PHI - The Eagles have home field advantage throughout and they may be able to ride that to the Superbowl. However, their offense has sputtered down the stretch. Expect Foles to be in a game manager mode and to hand the ball off A-L-O-T.
7. Matt Ryan - ATL - The Falcons squeezed into the postseason and are playing with low expectations and house money. Look for the playoff tested Ryan to pull off a road win or two.
8. Jared Goff - LAR - Goff has had a good sophmore year but the Rams have a tough matchup and could get bounced in the first round. The more experienced Falcons will be a tough out.
9. Blake Bortles - JAC - Bortles has been shaky with 5 interceptions in his last two games. But they play against a very beatable Buffalo team and could end up playing 2 games this postseason.
10. Cam Newton - CAR - Winning on the road in New Orleans is probably too much to ask and Cam has been up and down this year.
11. Marcus Mariota - TEN - The Titans sport a limited pass game but you can expect him to get 40+ rush yards in a first round loss at Kansas City.
12. Tyrod Taylor - BUF - He's only thrown 3 TDs in the last 5 games (excluding Kelvin Benjamin's TD that was reversed) and will likely get bounced in the first round.
